Other Terms and Conditions


  • Costs incurred prior to the written approval of the City will be deemed ineligible and will not be reimbursed.
  • All applicants must fulfill any outstanding work orders from the City's Fire Department or Building Services Division prior to funding approval.
  • All applicants must have fully paid any outstanding property taxes prior to funding approval.
  • Grants and loans will be approved at the sole discretion of the City and are subject to the availability of funding.
  • All works associated with the application are to be completed within 12 months of notice of approval.
  • Funding will be provided upon the receipt of invoices, proof of payment and the completion of a final site-inspection.
  • The applicant may only have one active application in process per building.
  • All loans provided through DCIP will be secured by the applicant's assets, with the City holding either a first or 2nd mortgage.
  • Any significant changes in design or scope of the project must be approved by the City
  • The City will withhold 10% of its total contribution for a minimum of 45 days following the project’s completion.
